Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar has been named one of the best tacos in America by USA TODAY Network food writers. USA TODAY Network’s 2026 list brings together 24 taco spots from Alabama to Wisconsin, each chosen by a local food writer who knows the area. Rocco’s is one of only two Florida restaurants on it.

From Clematis Street to 11 Locations
Rocco’s opened as a single restaurant on Clematis Street in West Palm Beach in 2007. Today there are 11 Rocco’s across Florida, Long Island and the Boston area, and every one of them makes guacamole the same way: fresh, in a molcajete, at your table.

The Tacos
The list is about tacos, so here is what is on the menu. Rocco’s serves two kinds.
Tacos de Casa come on flour tortillas with pico de gallo, cilantro, pickled red onions and queso fresco, with a hard corn or gluten-free handmade corn tortilla available instead. Pick your filling: Pollo, slow-roasted chicken in adobo. Cochinitas, achiote slow-roasted pork. Carne Molida, chili-braised ground beef. Chorizo with queso fresco, cilantro, onion and salsa verde. Camarones, adobo shrimp. Crispy Fish, battered and fried mahi-mahi with shaved cabbage and chipotle aioli. Carne Asada, marinated grilled steak. Hongos, vegan mushrooms with tequila, jalapeño and garlic. Any two come as a platter with yellow rice and black or refried beans.
Tacos de Calle are the street-style trio on handmade corn tortillas: the Smash Burger Tacos with American cheese, shaved lettuce, pico de gallo, relish and chipotle smash sauce, the gluten-free Pork Belly Taco with chipotle BBQ and corn-jalapeño relish, Hot Honey Chicken, Macha Shrimp and Quesa Birria, chili-braised brisket in crispy corn tortillas with caldo to dip. Lineups vary slightly by location.
