Tableside Guacamole at Rocco's Tacos: Made Fresh in a Molcajete at Your Table
Ask anyone who has eaten at Rocco’s Tacos what to order first and you’ll get the same answer: the tableside guacamole. Our Famous Tableside Guacamole is made fresh in front of you, in a molcajete, and served with Rocco’s chips — at all 11 locations across Florida, New York, and Massachusetts.
Why We Make It at Your Table
Plenty of restaurants serve guacamole. Rocco’s makes it in front of you. Nothing is scooped from a container in the back — the avocado goes into the molcajete at your table, gets seasoned with Rocco’s Spice, our house blend, and lands with a basket of warm Rocco’s chips while it’s still cool from the avocado. You watch it come together, you call the shots on how you want it, and the first chip goes in before the drinks arrive.
That’s why it’s the first thing regulars order and the reason first-timers come back.
Make It Yours: Guacamole Add-Ons
The guac is the start. The add-ons, straight from our menu, make it yours:
- Carrots, Cucumbers & Peppers for Dipping — fresh-cut veggies alongside the chips, and gluten-free when you dip with the veggies
- Chipotle Glazed Pork Belly — smoky, rich, and the one to order when you’re sharing with a table that means business (available at every location except Tampa)
What Is a Molcajete, Anyway?
The bowl your guacamole arrives in is a molcajete (pronounced “moka-het-tay”) — the traditional Mexican mortar carved from volcanic rock. It’s the same vessel we use for our sizzling Molcajete entrées. Read more about the molcajete and the Carne and Surf & Turf Molcajetes →
Guacamole Across the Menu
If one molcajete isn’t enough, guacamole runs through the whole Rocco’s menu. It tops the Nachos alongside Austin queso and chile de árbol salsa. It finishes the Burrito Bowl, the Chopped Mexican Cobb, and the Ensalada de Taco. And every sizzling Molcajete and order of Fajitas lands on the table with guacamole, pico de gallo, and queso fresco on the side.
Take the Flavor Home
The seasoning behind the guac is Rocco’s Spice — available in every restaurant and online, always buy one, get one. Mash avocado, add lime, season, and you’re most of the way to our table.
